Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
We hope you all get a chance to take a break, even if it’s just for a small time. We want to share a quick note from the Don’t Count Us Out Yet Team as we gear up for the end of the year, wrapping up 2022 articles designed to educate and interest you on the main areas of science, medicine and technology.
We have decided to pause coverage on the cryptocurrency and fin-tech area. Out of the six areas we cover (artificial intelligence, metaverse, genetic engineering, creator economy and sustainable planet being the five others), crypto seems to have taken a step backward. This area needs to reevaluate the concept of why it is so needed in order to progress and maintain value. Recent articles we have written in regard to crypto honed in on some of the unresolved challenges society has in this area. The three main issues include security, utility for new or substitute uses, and scalability. No cryptocurrency has solved all three problems. Therefore, it looks like the area needs to find new concepts to produce and then test. Until we see something that makes sense this way, we are going to pause writing about it. The remaining five areas are still interesting and progressing enough for us to continue providing you useful information!
Best,
Craig for the Don’t Count Us out Yet Staff
