Over the past month, there has been an overwhelming thread of announcements from large companies, such as Microsoft and Google, about investing in artificial intelligence.
Google has announced it will have 20 new products this year alongside their DeepMind AI. Educational institutions, especially colleges and universities, have started developing guidelines for students using Chatbot AI processes (or not).
The Don’t Count Us Out Yet team has been flooded with requests on how to learn more about AI, which is an area we cover in this newsletter. We approach AI by welcoming the new human era of entanglement, rather than enlightenment.
So, if you want to learn more about AI, here is a recap of how we suggest you start.
1. First, one of our freelance writers, Nina Cialone, wrote a great article on what ChatGPT is, how to use it, and both the advantages and worries in her mind. One point she emphasized, which we will be writing about soon, is the better question you provide ChatGPT, the better answer you will receive. If you click some of the links in the article, you can even further understand this new chatbot.
2. Now that you have read our piece describing the ChatGPT, it’s time to start thinking about how to apply it in the near future. Don’t forget the AI product DALL-E-2 is disrupting the images area for artists and graphics, just like ChatGPT is for text.
Professionals and students need to start rethinking their approaches to doing research, writing, drawing and day-to-day activities using help from the internet. If you want to read our eight predictions of where the AI world is heading in the next year, the following article. Again, the links are really useful for a deeper dive.
3. Finally, we have been teaching an Introduction to Artificial Intelligence course for CPAs, and we will be introducing a course for all non-tech professionals this year. If you want to see an overview of how we structured the AI course for accountants, take a look here. The brief video in the link is worth watching to get a full overview of what we think you need to learn about AI now.
If you have not already, subscribe to this newsletter, Don’t Count Us Out Yet, as we cover this area for non-tech professionals in what we hope is an easy-to-read way. Stay up-to-date on the changes happening very fast! Welcome to the new AI era of entanglement, and we hope to keep you at the cutting edge.
Best,
The Don’t Count Us Out Yet Team
