
If you’ve read any news about artificial intelligence in the past few months, chances are you have heard the discussion about using AI agents for various tasks in your business that are repetitive or at the front line of working with customers. We highlighted what they were in our August newsletter and are watching more and more news about whether or not they should be used in today’s business world.
We are adding a section of AI agents to our seminars, including an overview of the two types: software-embedded AI agents, which has human oversight, and stand-alone AI agents, where they learn, correct and continue without oversight.
Right now, due to the LLM hallucination problems, we strongly discourage the use of embedded AI agents alone unless you have looked at the worse case scenario versus the benefit of using. In any other case, we would say hold on and wait until the error rates decrease, which they most certainly will. The article below is good place to start when thinking about how to approach this.
